A fire broke out in Chittagong’s Newmarket area. The fire broke out near the Rifle Club in Amtala area of Newmarket around 7:10 pm on Saturday (March 16).
The duty officer of the fire service told Dhaka Post that there was a fire at the Jubilee Road branch of UCBL Bank in Amtala area. 6 units of Chandanpura and Nandankanan fire stations are working to control the fire. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Onlookers said, heavy smoke is coming out from inside the bank. Firefighters are forced to rush to work due to smoke.

A security guard of the bank said, “I only saw smoke from outside.” The bank was locked. There was no one inside. After that I informed the sirs.
