A severe heatwave is sweeping over different parts of the country. The temperature is increasing day by day. Summer life is boring. In such a situation, the Met office has predicted a heat alert (heat wave warning) for three more days. At the same time, it has been reported that there may be rain in different parts of the country in the first week of May.
Wednesday (April 24) evening in the forecast for the next 72 hours, the director of Bangladesh Meteorological Department. Azizur Rahman gave this information.
He said, the three-day heat alert that we issued earlier is ending today. Another three-day heat alert will be issued from Thursday (April 25). Because, for the time being, it is unlikely that the heat wave will be removed by raining on a large scale. We issue heat alerts and inform the government. Government will take action accordingly. Those concerned will do what they have to do.
He said that the temperature of the entire country has increased slightly today from yesterday. There is no chance of the heat wave going away completely this April. We see that it will run from May 2nd to 3rd. After that there may be some chance of rain in different areas. There is no chance of heavy rainfall till then. Locally isolated rain may occur at some places.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast on Wednesday said that till 6 pm on Thursday (April 25) in two places of Sylhet division, there may be temporary rain or thunder with gusty wind and also there may be scattered hailstorm at some places. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country.
According to the Meteorological Office, intense heat wave is flowing over Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Rajshahi, Pabna, Faridpur and Gopalganj districts along with Khulna division. Mild to moderate heat wave is prevailing over Barisal division including Mymensingh, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni and Bandarban districts and remainder of Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and may persist. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.
On Friday (April 26) the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies till 6pm. The prevailing heat wave may continue. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort.
On Saturday (April 27) till 6:00 pm, there may be temporary rain or thundershower with gusty wind at two places in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and also there may be scattered hailstorm at some places. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country. The prevailing heat wave may continue. Day temperatures may drop slightly and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort.
The Department of Meteorology said that there is no possibility of significant change in weather conditions during the extended 5 (five) days.
