TikTok is introducing exciting updates to its direct messaging features, including the long-awaited group chats. While this feature isn’t available worldwide yet, users who do have access can now enjoy chatting in groups of up to 32 people.
To start a group chat, simply tap the Chat button in your inbox or choose a name from your messages list, then select “More options…” to pick your friends and begin the conversation. Another way to cr
eate a group chat is by sharing a video with multiple people. Just tap the Share button, select “Create group chat,” pick your friends, and start chatting about the video.
You can accept group chat invitations through your inbox, but only those you follow mutually can be invited. Group chats are restricted for users aged 13-15, and 16-17-year-olds can only join if they have at least one mutual friend. When they create a group, they must manually approve new members.
Additionally, TikTok is introducing stickers in DMs, allowing users to enhance their conversations visually. You can even create and upload custom stickers for everyone to use.
