An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Gujranwala sentenced 51 activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) to 5 years in jail for their involvement in the riots organized in Pakistan on May 9, 2023.

ATC judge Batasha Nasim heard the supra case. Former prime minister Imran Khan, party vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and 23 leaders and activists were among the 400 suspects in the case. It is said that these accused were involved in vandalism and arson in Gujranwala Cantonment. After the hearing, the court gave a summary judgment. A detailed verdict is expected later.
