Saudi Arabia has banned performing Umrah more than once during the holy month of Ramadan. Basically, the country has taken such an initiative to reduce the crowd in Makkah Sharif. On Sunday (March 17), the Middle East-based media Gulf News reported this information in a report.
When fasting begins, many people flock to Mecca to perform the short Hajj or Umrah. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that no one will be allowed to perform Umrah more than once during Ramadan. The ministry has urged Muslims to perform Umrah only once this month.
A Saudi media reported that the decision was taken to reduce the crowd and allow others to perform Umrah.
