The Cabinet Committee on Law and Order has recommended extending the Eid holiday by one day (April 9) to ensure a safe return home for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
This recommendation was made in the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat on Sunday (March 31).
Chairman of the Committee Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque informed the reporters.

The minister said that a recommendation will be sent to the government tomorrow regarding the holiday, whether it can be extended by one day. So that people can travel smoothly.

He said, whether April 9 can be included as a holiday, a recommendation will go to the cabinet. There is a cabinet meeting tomorrow, in which a recommendation of this committee is going.
