Unexpected Message Causes Stir
IVE’s Yujin, known for her captivating performances, recently surprised fans with an unintended NSFW message on the Bubble app. The mishap happened due to a translation error, leaving fans bewildered.
Fan Communication Gone Wrong
Like many K-pop groups, IVE uses the Bubble app to interact with their fans. On May 17, while promoting their new songs “HEYA” and “Accendio,” Yujin took time to connect with fans. She greeted them with a cheerful “Hello,” but things quickly took a surprising turn.
Lost in Translation
Yujin’s message, written in Korean, was meant to express her satisfaction with her music show performance. However, the auto-translation rendered it into something entirely unrelated and NSFW, causing a wave of chaotic reactions from fans.
Fans Demand Better Translations
This incident has led IVE fans to call for improvements in the app’s translation tool. It’s not the first time a fan communication app has embarrassed an idol due to mistranslations, with similar issues reported on Weverse.
