On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the Metrorail will remain closed on Eid and the following days. Sub-project director of Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project Tarafdar Mahmudur Rahman informed this information.
He said, ‘Metrorail will be closed on Eid day on Thursday. The following day will also be closed on Friday. Because Metrorail is closed on Friday during the week.
Metrorail officials say there is a shortage of staff to run the Metrorail. And there will be no passengers on Eid. So it has been decided to close the Metrorail on Eid.
Meanwhile, the moon of the holy month of Shawwal was not seen anywhere in the sky of the country. As a result, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Bangladesh on Thursday (April 11). This was confirmed from the meeting of the National Committee on Moon Sighting on Tuesday (April 9) at 6:30 pm.
