The court granted a 3-day remand to Milton Samaddar, Chairman of Child and Old Age Care Ashram, in the case of Mirpur Model Police Station on the charge of making a fake death certificate with the help of fraud.
The police produced him in court on Thursday (May 2). After that, for the sake of proper investigation of the case, Deputy Inspector Mohammad Kamal Hossain applied to remand him for seven days. After the hearing, Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain’s court granted his 3-day remand.
Mirpur Model Police Station General Registration Branch Officer Sub-Inspector Jalal Uddin confirmed the matter in the court.
Three cases have been filed against Milton Samader so far. The first case was filed against him for forging death certificates. A case was then filed alleging that he was beaten in the torture cell of his ashram. Recently, another case has been registered against him under the Human Trafficking Act.
Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Detective (DB) police arrested Milton Samaddar in a raid in Mirpur area of the capital on Wednesday (May 1) night.
Recently, various misdeeds of Milton Samdar were published in the media. Since then, a storm of criticism started with him on social media. The victims also opened their mouths. Although Milton Samader denied all the allegations made against him by interviewing some media.
