TPW Desk: MoU signed between Getty Images and Bangladesh Film ArchiveA memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Bangladesh Film Archive under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the American visual media organization Getty Images for the purpose of collecting and preserving footage related to the great liberation war of Bangladesh and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

On behalf of the Bangladesh Film Archive, the director of the organization’s “Collection and preservation of audio visual documents of the Liberation War from domestic and foreign sources and capacity building of the Bangladesh Film Archive” project. Officials of the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC and the Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York were present at this time.
