After two and a half hours of effort, the terrible fire that broke out in the raw material market in Rupganj of Narayanganj was brought under control. 9 units of fire service worked to extinguish the fire completely. The fire came under control around 5:45 am on Sunday (March 24).

According to the Directorate of Fire Service and Civil Defense, the fire was reported around 3:50 PM. The fire was brought under control with the efforts of 9 units.

Fakhruddin Ahmed, Deputy Assistant Director of Narayanganj Fire Service, said that the fire was reported around 4 pm. After that within 15 minutes several units of Araihajar, Kanchan Nadi, Demra, and Purbachal fire stations of the fire service started working to control the fire. The fire was finally brought under control after two and a half hours of efforts of 9 units.
