The fourth generation Padma Bank is merging with the private sector Exim Bank. A source of the bank said that this decision was taken unanimously in the meeting of the board of directors of Exim Bank on Thursday (March 14). Besides, it is said that Padma Bank will officially inform about this today.

A director of Exim Bank said on condition of anonymity that it has been decided to merge Padma Bank with our bank (Exim Bank). The decision of the board will be sent to Bangladesh Bank for approval. This decision will be implemented after the approval of the concerned regulatory body.

A related officer of Padma Bank said the same thing. He said that the incident is true but will be officially announced in the afternoon.
