On March 14, 2024, President Mohammed Shahabuddin returned to Bangladesh following a comprehensive 10-day medical visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Kingdom (UK). He arrived early this morning on Emirates Airlines flight EK-582 at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
A warm welcome was extended to the President and his delegation at the airport’s VVIP lounge by high-ranking officials, including Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, the UAE ambassador, and representatives from the diplomatic, military, and police sectors.
The President’s return journey began from Heathrow Airport yesterday afternoon, as confirmed by Md Ashequn Nabi Chowdhury, Press Minister at the Bangladesh High Commission in London. Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK, Saida Muna Tasneem, along with other senior officials, were present to bid him farewell.
President Shahabuddin initially left Dhaka for his health-related visit on March 3, flying to the UAE with Emirates Airlines. He continued to London on March 6 for further medical consultations.
Accompanying him throughout the trip were his wife, Dr. Rebeka Sultana, and several officials from Bangabhaban, ensuring his well-being and support during the medical examinations.
