Rising Star Anika Aira Makes Waves in Bangladeshi Television

The Bangladeshi television industry is witnessing a new wave of young talents, and among them, Anika Aira is quickly making a name for herself. Born Anika Binte Kamal Aira, she is currently pursuing a degree in English Literature at a private university in Dhaka.

Anika’s journey in the media industry began with modeling and photoshoots before transitioning into acting. Her big break came when she starred in Moner Sathi, directed by Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raj. The recognition she received led to another role in Like Father Like Son, opposite Tamim Mridha, which brought her into the spotlight.

Since then, she has appeared in several popular dramas, including Amar Bou Sob JaneAmi Ekhanei ThakboDekha Howar Kotha Chhilo, and Apan Je Jon. Her natural acting style has earned praise from audiences and industry professionals alike, boosting her confidence in her craft.

Anika is particularly excited about her upcoming drama, Kath Golaper Biye, written by Md. Farid Uddin and Swapanil Chakraborty. Directed by Md. Farid Uddin, the drama is set to premiere on Valentine’s Day. Speaking about her journey, she expressed gratitude to director Raj for giving her a strong start in the industry.

“I received a lot of appreciation for my performances in Raj bhai’s dramas back in 2022. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work in several notable projects. But Kath Golaper Biye is special—it has a unique storyline, and I was deeply engrossed in my character during filming. I am hopeful that the audience will love it.”

With her growing passion for acting, Anika remains dedicated to learning from senior artists and honing her skills. She has also completed work on Poribar Porikolpona, directed by Adnan Saikat, as she continues her journey towards becoming a distinguished actress.
