Security analyst Major General (retd) Abdur Rashid (70) passed away at 5:30 am on Friday (June 14) while undergoing treatment in a critical condition at the CMH in Dhaka Cantonment.

It is learned from family sources that his namaz-e-janaza will be held today, Friday, at the central mosque of Mirpur DOHS and he will be buried with due honor at the Army graveyard.

He had been undergoing treatment at CMH for the last two months due to illness. Earlier, he received treatment in Singapore. After returning home, the former army officer’s health deteriorated and he was admitted to CMH.

Major General (retd) Abdur Rashid was the chairman of the Arunima Resort Golf Club Committee.
