From March 18th to 21st, Bangladesh welcomes a prestigious Swedish delegation, led by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria, alongside Johan Forssell, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, and Ulrika Modéer, UNDP Assistant Secretary General. This visit marks a significant moment, celebrating over 50 years of partnership between Sweden and Bangladesh, and focusing on the shared goals of sustainable development and cooperation.

The delegation’s visit is inspired by Crown Princess Victoria’s role as UNDP Goodwill Ambassador, emphasizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Their journey is aimed at understanding Bangladesh’s developmental strides and examining the challenges and achievements in SDG implementation, particularly in areas such as climate change, gender equality, and the green and digital transitions.

Additionally, the delegation will extend its mission to the southern parts of Bangladesh, including the Rohingya Refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, underscoring Sweden’s commitment to humanitarian support and sustainable development.
