In an earnest appeal for international collaboration, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia has called upon the global community to halt atrocities and establish safe humanitarian corridors. This plea was delivered by Saudi Information Minister Salman Al-Dosari on behalf of the king, coinciding with the onset of the holy month of Ramadan.
King Salman expressed deep sorrow over the ongoing violence in Palestine, noting the painful irony that such attacks are happening as Ramadan begins, a time traditionally associated with peace and reflection. “It’s distressing that our brothers in Palestine are suffering from attacks at the time when this year’s Ramadan month has arrived,” he stated.
The situation in Gaza has been particularly dire, with Israeli assaults resulting in over 31,000 deaths, numerous individuals trapped under rubble, and more than 72,654 injuries reported. King Salman’s call emphasizes the urgent need for international intervention to provide immediate relief and support to the affected populations, underscoring the importance of solidarity and action in the face of such human suffering.
