Muslims around the world are now preparing for the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. However, the new moon of the month of Shawwal was not seen in the sky of Saudi Arabia. Therefore, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the country on Wednesday, not Tuesday.
In a post on Monday (April 8) night, Inside the Haramain said, “The moon of the month of Shawwal was not seen anywhere in Saudi Arabia today.”
This information was confirmed on Inside the Haramain, the official Facebook page of the maintenance authority of the Kaaba and Masjid Nawabi, two of the holiest mosques for Muslims.
Earlier, Australia became the first country in the world to announce the date of Eid-ul-Fitr before the moon rise of Shawwal month. As a result, the residents of Australia said that they will celebrate Eid on Wednesday, April 10. The Fatwa Council of the country gave this direction in a statement.
