Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold in the country’s market. This time, the price of the best quality gold or one load of 22 carat (11.664 grams) has been reduced by 1 thousand 85 taka and the new price has been set at 1 lakh 18 thousand 459 taka. This price is the highest in history. Sunday (May 19) which was 1 lakh 19 thousand 544 taka.
This information was informed in a circular signed by Chairman Masudur Rahman of Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Thursday (May 23).
According to the notification, the price of acidic gold has increased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new rates will be effective from Friday (May 24).
According to the new price, the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) is Tk 1 lakh 18 thousand 459, 21 carat is Tk 1 lakh 13 thousand 82, 18 carat is Tk 96 thousand 928 and traditional gold is Tk 80 thousand 131. Will be sold for Rs.
The price of gold has been increased but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, the price of 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, the price of 18 carat is 1715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka. The price of gold has been reduced in the country’s market. The best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) has been reduced by Tk 1,850. As a result, the price of good quality gold rose to 1 lakh 18 thousand 459 taka.
