The price of gold has increased again in the country’s market. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has set the price of one gold bar of 22 carats at 1 lakh 18 thousand 460 taka, increasing the price by 1 thousand 178 taka.
Bajus informed this information in a circular on Saturday (May 18) evening.
The new price will be effective from tomorrow Sunday (May 19).
According to the notification, the price of acid gold (pure gold) has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.
According to the new price, per bhari (11.664 grams) of 22 carat gold will cost 1 lakh 18 thousand 460 taka. Apart from this, the price of gold has been fixed at 1 lakh 13 thousand 82 taka per 21 carat, 96 thousand 916 taka per 18 carat and 80 thousand 131 taka per traditional method.
Earlier, last Saturday (May 11), Bajus fixed the price of 22 carat gold at Tk 1 lakh 17 thousand 282. Besides, the price of gold was fixed at 1 lakh 11 thousand 951 taka per 21 carat, 95 thousand 960 taka per 18 carat and 79 thousand 339 taka per traditional method.
It should be noted that the price of gold has been adjusted 23 times in the country’s market so far this year. Where the price has been increased 12 times, and reduced 11 times. And in 2023, the price was adjusted 29 times.
