The second session of the 12th National Parliament has begun. The session started on Thursday (May 2) at 5 pm. Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury presided over it.

At the beginning of the session, the speaker announced the names of the presidium. They are – MA Mannan, Asaduzzaman Noor, Shafiqul Islam Shimul, Golam Kibria Tipu and Fazilatunnecha.

In the absence of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker, the members of the Presidium shall preside over the session.

After this, a condolence motion was brought in the session for the death of Abdul Hai, Member of Parliament of Jhenaidah-1 Constituency. On March 16, Abdul Hai died while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Thailand.

Apart from this, former parliament members Shamchul Haque Bhuiyan, Abul Hashem Khan, Pinu Khan, Nazir Hossain and Mokhleshur Rahman and brave freedom fighter and language soldier, Ekushey medalist and chief prosecutor of International Crimes Tribunal Golam Arif Tipu, Ekushey medalist veteran journalist and Prime Minister’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim. , Awami League Advisory Council member and Ekushey Medalist academician Dr. Condolences were expressed on the death of Pranab Kumar Barua. After that, the discussion started on the condolence motion of the member of parliament, Abdul Hai.
