In the next 24 hours, there may be temporary gusts of wind or rain with thunder in different parts of the country, said the Meteorological Department. The organization said this in the weather forecast for the next 72 hours on Saturday (May 4).

The Meteorological Department said that there may be temporary rain or thunder with gusty winds in some places of Sylhet division and two or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. Along with that, there may be scattered hailstorms at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.

Mild to moderate heat wave is prevailing over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions and may continue. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Comilla recorded maximum rainfall of 37 mm in the last 24 hours. Apart from this, 27 millimeters of rain has been recorded in Chittagong and 8 millimeters in Cox’s Bazar, the agency said.

The 24-hour forecast for Sunday (May 5) evening said that there may be temporary rain or thundershowers in some places of Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and two or more places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions. Along with that, there may be scattered hailstorms at some places. The prevailing heatwave is likely to subside from many parts of the country. Besides, day temperature may drop by 1-2 degree Celsius and night temperature may drop slightly across the country.

The 24-hour forecast for the next 24 hours on Monday (May 6) has said that there may be temporary rain or thundershowers in some places of Mymensingh, Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and two or more places in Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions. Along with that, there may be scattered hailstorms at some places. Day and night temperatures may drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius across the country.
