23 sailors of MV Abdullah returned to their relatives after a month of release from hostage. MV Jahan Moni-3 arrived at the jetty of Chittagong port with these 23 sailors freed from the pirates. The ship reached the jetty around 4pm today (Tuesday).
This ended the long wait of 23 families. After a long time, many relatives of these sailors cried. Relatives came to the jetty with flowers to welcome the sailors.
A relative who came to welcome these sailors termed the days of being in the hands of pirates as days of horror. He said, I don’t want to remember those days.
After a long month of kidnapping, 23 sailors of the MV Abdullah ship were released on April 13 at 12:00 am Somalia time and 3:00 am Bangladesh time.
After the release, the vessel arrived at Al Hamria port in the United Arab Emirates on 22 April to unload coal. From there, Mina went to Sakaar port on Saturday to import limestone.
The ship loaded 53 thousand metric tons of limestone in two days and left for Bangladesh 14 days ago.
MV Abdullah arrived at Qutubdia Channel of Bay of Bengal yesterday afternoon. A new team of 23 sailors took charge of MV Abdullah there.
The ship was anchored at Qutubdia as the ship was carrying 53,000 metric tons of limestone. Today they were taken to Chittagong in a lighterage ship.
