US national security adviser Jack Sullivan said Washington will impose new sanctions on Iran.The sanctions will target Iran’s missile and drone programs as well as organizations that support the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Ministry of Defense. (News TAAS)

In a statement given in this regard, it is said that US President Joe Biden is planning to give a “major response” to Iran’s attack on Israel. He plans to do so in conjunction with US allies and partners and leaders of both chambers of the US Congress.

The statement said, “In the coming days, the United States will impose new sanctions targeting Iran.” Tehran’s missile and drone programs, as well as the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its defense ministry, will be covered by the sanctions.

Sullivan added that the United States expects Washington’s allies and partners to “follow their own path of sanctions very soon.”
