If Israel wants to retaliate, Iran will respond more harshly, said the country’s president Masoud Pezeshkian.
Pezeshkian went to Qatar on a two-day official visit. He clarified Iran’s position on this issue during a meeting with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Wednesday. Irna news.
“The goal of the Zionist regime is to create insecurity and expand the crisis in the region. We must prevent this crisis and the Islamic Republic is committed to it,” Pezeshkian said.
He said Iran showed restraint even when Israel intensified rather than stopped killing people in Gaza and Lebanon. But this then prompted the Israeli regime to respond by intensifying its attacks, forcing the Islamic Republic to respond.
Pezeshkian said Iran wants peace and tranquility in the region. No country can prosper under such conditions.
Meanwhile, he called on the United States and Europe to stop Israel from killing people and creating insecurity in the region.
In his speech, the Emir of Qatar also expressed support for Iran in promoting and protecting peace and security in the region.
Sheikh Tamim called on the international community to help end tensions in the Middle East and stop Israel’s aggression against Gaza.
