Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 22 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. It is reported that they have been arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.

From 6 am on Sunday (June 2) to 6 am on Monday (3 June) they were arrested along with the recovery of narcotics by raiding various police stations in the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) crime and intelligence department said that 221 pieces of Yaba, 24 grams of heroin and 52 kg of 500 grams of ganja were recovered from them.

It is reported that this operation has been conducted as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation of the DMP. It is also reported that 17 cases have been filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act in the concerned police stations.
