Due to severe heat wave, it has been announced to close the classes in the colleges under the National University. The public relations office of the National University sent a notice to the media informing about this decision on Saturday evening.

According to the notification, due to severe heat wave, classes will be closed in affiliated colleges of National University until further notice.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education announced the closure of all schools-colleges-madrasas in the country for 5 days on Saturday afternoon. These educational institutions will remain closed till next Thursday, April 25. But since there is Friday-Saturday after that, the closure is going on for 7 consecutive days. Schools and colleges will open from April 28.
The ministry said in its statement, due to the ongoing heat wave, educational institutions have been declared closed in consultation with the Ministry of Health and the Department of Meteorology. However, this decision may be subject to change in weather conditions.
