Two people were killed in a road accident in Nandail Upazila of Mymensingh today. The accident took place in front of Dangri Shamim Bhuiar Fishery on the Mymensingh-Kishorganj highway at 1:15 pm on Wednesday.
The deceased are Badal Mia (35), son of deceased Amjad Ali of Sutaratia village in Chandipasha union of Nandail upazila, and autorickshaw driver Firoz Mia (57), son of deceased Nabi Nawaj, resident of Dasalia village.
7 more people were injured in this accident.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nandail Highway Police Station. Khorshed Alam said that the accident took place in front of Dangri Shamim Bhuiar Fishery on Mymensingh-Kishorganj highway at 1:30 pm on Wednesday when a Shyamal Chaya bus going from Mymensingh to Bhairab collided with an auto rickshaw going to Nandail. Badal Mia died on the spot and Feroz Mia died on the way to the hospital.
He said that the bodies of the victims have been handed over to their relatives after the legal process. Legal action is pending in this regard. The police have seized the killer bus.
