Freed from pirates, the ship MV Abdullah arrived at the outer anchorage of Al-Hamriya Port in Dubai. Today, Sunday (April 21), the ship reached the outer anchorage of the port around 4:30 pm.
This was confirmed by Mehrul Karim, Chief Executive Officer of KSRM Group.
Earlier, the ship entered UAE waters on Saturday (April 20). Mehrul Karim then said that after reaching the outer anchorage of Al-Hamriya port, the ship will be moored at the jetty to unload the coal.
From there, two sailors will return home by air. The remaining 21 sailors will return home on the same ship. In that case they will need 25-26 days.
It is to be noted that on the way from Mozambique to the United Arab Emirates on March 12, MV Abdullah was captured by Somali pirates along with 23 sailors in the Indian Ocean. After being held hostage for about 32 days, this ship of the KSRM group was released on April 13 with a ransom.
